Home Teaching

Jim went "home teaching", last Tuesday with Bro Howard. Bro Howard got out of Jim's pick up and went around behind it to go behind another vehicle to get up to the steps of the house, so Bro Howard was totally out of Jim's view. Bro Howard slipped and fell in his trek and Jim didn't realize it. But luckily, the man of the house saw that they had pulled up so he went to the door and apparently he could see that Bro Howard had fallen because he turned around to get his coat and came out. Jim was still wondering what was going on, but thought he just came out to meet Bro Howard. Then here come the two of them, only Loren was packing poor Bro Howard. They struggled to put him in the pickup and hauled him back to the Howard's, during which they had a bumpy mile ride back to the paved road. They had to tell Sis Howard what happened and she followed Jim to the Hospital. Apparently, Bro Howard was in so much pain that he passed out a couple times on the way there, about 3 times when he and Loren were trying to get him into the pickup and twice on the drive to his house. Of course you know it, Bro Howard broke his hip. But Jim still had time to take pictures, Ha Ha. Actually Sis Howard was telling him which ones to get. The next day at 5:00 pm he got a brand new hip. It's a good thing Bro Howard was in fairly decent shape. We wish him the best. He is still in the hospital as of today, Jim thinks he is getting out tomorrow.


Bro Howard is probably the most diligent home teacher in the ward. This would certainly put most people out of commission for a while. Jim is pretty sure his partner will be up and around on crutches in no time.
