San Diego!

Here we are. How fun is this !?! Who knew San Diego was so pretty. Our Hotel is way in the back, down the board walk, if thats what you call that. It's the Hilton, San Diego Bayfront. In the picture, in case you don't already know, is, me on the left, and Anita my sister in law, in the middle, and Erica her daughter, on the right. The 3 of us went shopping down at the Seaport Village, and Jim and Brent stayed back at the convention, in the hotel. We called them and had them come down to Joe's Crab Shack for a quick lunch before Erica had to drive back to Scottsdale.

Erica drove all the way over to San Diego to color her mom's and my hair. Last night after the Lennox Dealer meeting/showcase/reception dinner, events, Erica and Anita came to my door and asked if I wanted to walk to Erica's car to get out the hair supplies. Sure, I said, let me put my pants back on. ( kind of a classy hotel to go walking through it in grubby sweats ) Anyway, we went out to the car and Erica realized that she didn't bring her towels. We can't use hotel towels because they would be ruined. So she tells us that she can just drive us to get some. I didn't have my purse, money or my trusty iPhone, but Anita had her phone. So I looked up target, because Erica thought there was one close by. There were two, fairly close by so we decided to go. But when Erica got up to the booth at the parking garage exit, she asked the lady for directions to a Walmart or target close by and the lady gave us "some directions". Erica thought she knew exactly where to go, and off we went. It's sometimes a little tricky to get on at some of the freeway entrances, so it took us two tries and we were on. We followed her directions and there was nothing there. Erica being optomistic said she would just drive until she found something. So I tracked us on Anita's iPhone in case we got lost and we found a Walmart about 8 miles or so from where the lady told us to go and were back at the hotel within an hour. Thanks to the iPhone GPS we found a more direct route back to the freeway. It was a crazy fun adventure. What would we do with out hi-tech gadgets?

We watched "Bride Wars" while Erica did our hair. It's a common occurance for Erica to have to do our hair in the hotel rooms. Jim can sleep through anything so we just have fun.

We just had a special delivery to our room from Lennox. We are going on a dinner cruise tonight and then to Sea World tomorrow and they brought us by the tickets and gift bag of goodies.
